About the Role
We’re seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to efficiently process customer transactions at our branch, including cash handling, credit cards and ensuring accurate change while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a neat check-up area.

Bridgestone Tyres (PNG) limited is a multinational company and the largest distributor of Bridgestone Tyres and related products in PNG.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Process cash and card payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all customers receive a positive experience.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Balance the cash register at the end of each shift and ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
  • Reconcile daily takings and prepare banking documentation.
  • Always keep the cashier area clean and tidy.
  • Support the sales team with other tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma in Accounting/Commerce/Business Studies from recognized institutions in Papua New Guinea.
  • Must have 3-5 years of work experience in office administration, debt collection reconciliation and balancing cash takings and banking.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and staff at all levels.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong numerical skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and card payments.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure that the cashier area is always well-presented.
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office Applications
