Job Title: Human Resource Officer
Location: Lae
Responsible to: General Secretary – Anglican Church of PNG
 
The Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea (ACPNG) seek an experienced and qualified candidate to fill in the role of a Human Resource Officer. This position reports to the General Secretary of the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea, and is a full time Lae based position.
 
The purpose of th position is to ensure smooth working of all employees/ personnel functions at the Anglican National Office.
 
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
 
  • Develop an HR manual and assist in developing a finance policy aligned to the HR manual. Implement HR and finance policies and procedures at the National office and in the diocese.
  • Roll out the new policies and procedures systematically through out ACPNG.
  • Focal point for any reporting based on misconduct of employee.
  • Ensure all personnel have a contract of employment and reviews thereafter (Administration is three years of contract and Ground staff is one year).
  • Ensure appraisals are done every year
  • Be responsible for organizing job advertisements, recruitments, interviews and induction for employees.
  • Ensure processing of monthly Statutory documents be updated and paid.
  • Ensure smooth processing od payroll each fortnight for all national staff.
  • Responsible for developing TOR and COE for new on boarding employees, causals, volunteers and consultants, partners or donors.
  • Mentor and support staff, ensuring that appropriate training is given.
Job Requirements:



Qualification and Skills:
 
  • Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Human Resource Management of Business Management.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in HR/ Payroll management.
  • Computer Literate especially in MS office
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Familiarity with church structures and governance, and the ability to work within a religious context.
