1. GROUNDSMAN
Key Requirements;
- Successful completion of Grade 10 certification or higher and technical qualification,
- Must have at least 3 years of work experience or more in a similar role,
- Must have PNG driver’s license,
- Hardworking and physically fit;
- Be able to utilize resources to the fullest of its capabilities,
- Completed Basic OWH & S Training Levels 1
- Know the effects of environmental issues and their impact on the airport; Grass growth – Blocked drains – Insects – Fish – Birds) Bird strikes, trespassing (people entering the movement areas to search for fish and birds);
- Basic knowledge of base course pavement/asphalt removal & replacement;
- Basic knowledge of water hydraulics and drainage;
- Hold first aid in the workplace certificate The ability to gain competency in Certificate I to II in Airport Airside Maintenance Operations.
PLANT OPERATOR
Key Requirements;
- Grade ten (10) certificate or higher.
- The position requires a person who has had at least three (3) years or more of work experience or associated roles in Civil Works, Construction Industry or similar field in aviation.
- Must have PNG driver’s license, preferably a class 7 or class 6 driver’s licence.
- Good knowledge of the airside driving manual, safety and precautions.
- Know the effects of environmental issues and their impact on the airport; Grass growth – Blocked drains – Insects – Fish – Birds) Bird strikes, trespassing (people entering the movement areas to search for fish and birds);
- Basic knowledge of base course pavement/asphalt removal & replacement;
- Basic knowledge of water hydraulics and drainage;
- The ability to carry out routine maintenance of equipment and also find out maintenance needs and operating errors on the equipment.
- Conduct safety observations reports, inspections etc., on a daily basis
- Hold first aid in the workplace certificate
- The ability to gain competency in Certificate I to II in Airport Airside Maintenance Operations.
