NATIONAL JUDICIAL STAFF SERVICE

National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to fill the following vacant position based at the Papua New Guinea Centre for Judicial Excellence (PNGCJE) within the Supreme & National Court Waigani.

Purpose of Position:

The Finance Officer is responsible for the effective administration of PNGCJE’s budget and expenditure operations.

The role includes:
 
  • Ensuring full accountability of both internal and external donor funding.
  • Ensuring expenditures align with approved budgets and that financial reports are prepared accurately and on time.
Job Requirements:



Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Interested Applicants must possess the following:

Educational Qualification:

 
  • A minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A professional qualification such as CPA or CPT is an added advantage.

Experience:
 
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working with aid donors is preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy, with advanced Excel skills desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of government financial and accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with PFMA, General Orders, Procurement Act, and other NJSS financial guidelines.
  • Proficiency in the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).
