Marie Stopes Papua New Guinea (MSPNG) is a part of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) global partnership, which provides quality family planning and sexual and reproductive health services in more than 37 countries world-wide. In PNG, we provide high-quality, affordable and accessible services to over 40,000 men, women, and young people every year.
 
Marketing & Advocacy Officer – Hela & Port Moresby
 
The key function of the Marketing and Advocacy Officer is to generate demand for MSPNG family planning services through growing our network of community volunteers. Our work relies on these local community members to inform and educate Papua New Guineans about the importance of family planning.
 
Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Marketing & Advocacy Manager, you will be responsible for creating partnerships with stakeholders at provincial level, creating demand for family planning services through our network of community volunteers to increase the acceptance of family planning in Papua New Guinea. This position is based at the local level with extensive travel to districts, stakeholders, community organizations and meeting points for marketing initiatives, activities, training and monitoring.

About You

You should have tertiary qualifications in community development or mobilization, marketing, communication, journalism or business development, with at least 5 years’ work experience in community development, communications or the health sector. You should have excellent verbal & written communication skills; you are people focused and community oriented and are able to produce results in an unstructured environment. You are creative, analytical and able to deliver on results without close supervision.
