CHIEF CENSOR - OFFCIE OF THE CENSORSHIP

We are seeking a highly qualified and experiences execution of the strategies within the available resource envelope to ensure the achievement of the goals defined in the Classification of Publication (Censorship) Act 1989.
Job Requirements:

Applicants must meet the PNG Public Services minimum person’s specifications and possess appropriate University qualifications preferably at the Masters Level in Public Administration, Management or related qualifications as may acceptable to the Department of Personnel Management.
 
The person sought must be knowledgeable in Government systems, Public Services General Orders, Public Finance Management Act 1995, Conversant with the Classification of Publication (Censorship) Act 1989and the other enabling legislations.
 
The applicant must possess skills at the Executive and Management level and demonstrated high level skills in Public Administration, Finance Management and People Management, Planning and Management, Policy and would normally have at least a minimum of 10 years working extensive experience in Censorship or similar fields.
 
The applicant must be well versed with the Government's Ethics & Values Based Executive Management and Leadership Capability Frameworkand the Gender Equity & Social Inclusion Policy.
 
As part of the requirements, applicants are advised to submit the following documents;
 
  1. Expression of Interest Letter
  2. Police clearance obtained from Fraud and Anti - Corruption Office (must be within the last 6 months and up to date)
  3. Medical clearance obtained from recognized medical practitioners authorized by the Secretary for Department of Health.
  4. Two (2) Character References and Two (2) Professional References from previous employers confirming managerial competence and achievements. (must be within the last 2 years)
