Job Description:
Marie Stopes PNG works with local partners and the government of Papua New Guinea to provide quality, affordable and accessible family planning services to more than 50,000 men, women, and young people every year. We are PNG's largest provider of Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health Services.
 
Senior Management Opportunity

This role will be offered at the Senior Manager or Director role (depending on your qualifications and experience).
 
The Role
 
Marie Stopes PNG is funded by a range of donors and donor projects. The Projects Director is responsible for coordinating the current and future MSPNG donor funded project portfolio.
 
  • You will lead accountability on all donor funded projects by overseeing and monitoring performance and expenditure to assure compliance with our contract commitments.
  • You will ensure that MSPNG meets its obligations in terms of social inclusion, and ensure we continue to strengthen and promote our gender focus.
  • You will Coordinate all donor projects from start to close, in collaboration with the Executive and Senior Management Teams.
  • You will prepare all donor administration, reports, annual activity planning and budget submissions for executive management approval.
  • You will coordinate monthly and annual MEL reviews and activities to improve MSPNG’s performance.
  • You will manage the MSPNG team of Project Managers and collaborate with HR on staff recruitment, onboarding, induction, and performance management.
 
This is a very challenging role for a results-oriented performer.

MSI is a marketing-focused, data-driven and results-oriented social business that uses modern management techniques and approaches to provide quality family planning (FP) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services in more than 37 countries world-wide.
 
In 2019, we worked with local partners and the Government of Papua New Guinea to provide quality, affordable and accessible services to over 60,000 men, women, and young people.
 
Job Requirements:
Your Experience
 
The following experiences and skills are essential in order for you to be considered for this role:
  • You can demonstrate extensive work on experience on DFAT-funded projects, either as a senior manager with an NGO, or with a managing contractor. Ideally, you have experience managing projects also funded by other donors.
  • You have a Masters Degree or outstanding Bachelor Degree, with a major in business, administration, or project management.
  • You have excellent budget management skills, and are a skilled user of MS Excel.
  • You are comfortable dealing with senior government officials.
  • You have demonstrated experience in being the direct line manager of staff.
  • You have a strong belief in the importance of family planning, and a commitment to the Marie Stopes mission of “Children by Choice, not Chance “.
 
A background in health services management would be fantastic, though not essential.
 
Remuneration
 
The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with your experience, qualifications, and the senior nature of the role. Marie Stopes team members have access to a subsidized health insurance plan, a performance-based annual bonus, and salary packaging. You will be provided with a telephone for work.
 
We do not provide housing or vehicles.
