Surveillance Site Coordinators – Kokopo/Goroka/Mt Hagen

The Burnet Institute is an internationally recognised and duly registered medical research and public health agency. The NGO operation combines research activities with practical action through the design and implementation of public health and development programs. The Institute has headquarters in Melbourne and several international offices, including Port Moresby and Kokopo in PNG.

We are seeking three (3) qualified and experienced professionals for the following position based in Kokopo ENB, Goroka EHP & Mt Hagen WHP:

Surveillance Site Coordinators – Kokopo/Goroka/Mt Hagen (12 - 15 month contract)
This role will report directly to the Fleming Fund Country Grant Team Leader working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, and Hospital Manager of the respective PHAs. During the project this role will also require providing thematic reports to the AMR Thematic Lead, Microbiology Thematic Lead and Animal Health Thematic Lead.  
Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role you must meet the following essential skills and experience criteria:
  • Completion of Bachelor’s in health management or Bachelor in Health Sciences or other relevant qualification that includes pharmacy, medical laboratory, and/or animal health.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with PNG Government departments & Stakeholders
  • Experience in pharmacy, medical laboratory, and/or animal health thematic areas
