The Legal Training Institute is a Government Statutory Body created by the Post-Graduate Legal Training Institute Act of 1972. LTI provides practical legal training for law graduates who wish to be admitted as lawyers of the National and Supreme Courts of Papua New Guinea. LTI contributes to nation building by producing the best lawyers the country has to offer. The standard and quality of training at LTI is equivalent to benchmarked standards set by the Australasian Practical Legal Education Authority. LTI is a member of the Australasian Practical Legal Education Authority and continues to work in partnership with the Papua New Guinea Local Bar, the Victoria
