Job title: Chief Executive Officer – Digicel Foundation
Location: Port Moresby


The CEO will provide leadership and strategic direction to Digicel PNG Foundation. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Foundation's operations, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The CEO will be responsible for driving the Foundation's initiatives, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the sustainability and impact of its programs.
Job Requirements:



Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement high-quality programs and projects along to achieve the Foundation's short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Operational Management: Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with organizational policies and the overall strategy and mission.
  • Governance and Financial Oversight: Manage the Foundation's fiscal activities, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing, to ensure financial health and sustainability. Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and the community. Act as the primary point of contact for important partners and donors within government, civil society and the private sector.
  • Program Development: Lead the development and implementation of impactful programs in education, health, and leadership. Ensure programs are effectively monitored and evaluated.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Enforce adherence to legal and compliance frameworks and in-house policies to ensure good governance. Manage the Foundation's risk profile by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate employees to achieve high levels of performance and engagement. Develop a high-performing managerial team.
  • Public Representation: Represent the Foundation at public events, conferences, and in the media to enhance its public profile and reputation.

Academic qualifications and experience:
 
  • Proven experience as a CEO or in other senior managerial positions.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or relevant field is preferred.
  • Strong background in community development or community investment program within the private sector and/or in Community development.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, fundraising, etc.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
