ADRA PNG has been in operation since 1991. Our current projects for 2023 are TB/HIV (funded by Global Fund in partnership World Vision as the Principal Recipient ( PR), Water and Sanitation Hygiene ( WASH) (funded by UNICEF, Government of PNG), Disaster Risk Reduction through Australian Humanitarian Program through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Sustainability, Health, Agriculture Protection Empowerment ( SHAPE) through Ministry of foreign Affairs & Trade ( MFAT) and Church Partnership Program which covers as wide range of activities delivered by the Seventh Day Adventist Church through ADRA Australia as the contractor to the
Project funded by DFAT.
The Church Partnerships Program Phase 4 (CPP4) funded by the Australian Government to be implemented in Papua New Guinea (PNG) from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025. ADRA PNG (Adventist Development and Relief Agency PNG) is one of seven CPP partners and is implementing a Strategic Plan aligned with the PNG Union Mission (PNGUM strategic Pan 2022-25 and the CPP4 guidelines contributing to the Building Community

Position Title: CPP Health Officer
Organization: ADRA PNG

Position Overview:
ADRA PNG is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven CPP Health Officer to support the coordination and implementation of key health initiatives under the Church Partnerships Program. This role works closely with the PNGUM Health Director to advance health service policy, deliver impactful training programs like the 10,000 Toes campaign, and establish Wellness Hubs across local missions. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of public health insight, stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for community well-being. This position is pivotal in promoting health education, strengthening systems, and fostering partnerships that reflect ADRA’s commitment to holistic development and community transformation in Papua New Guinea.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adventist Health Service (AHS) Operational Policy & Training
- Collaborate with the Health Director to finalize the Adventist Health Service Operational Policy (AHSOP) through a workshop and submit it for Board endorsement.
- Facilitate the dissemination of AHSOP among SDA Health personnel in local missions and institutions.
2. 10,000 Toes Program & Wellness Hubs
- Support the facilitation and reporting of the 10,000 Toes Training of Trainers (ToT) program.
- Develop criteria for establishing Wellness Hubs based on ToT outcomes.
- Assist local missions in piloting Wellness Hubs with ADRA support, ensuring they receive startup kits and essential equipment (e.g., white goods).
- Establish clear referral pathways for health services.
- Organize and conduct 10,000 Toes Ambassadors training.
3. Health Advisory & Partnerships
- Facilitate quarterly Health Advisory meetings, ensuring proper documentation and minutes.
- Strengthen partnerships with Provincial Health Authorities and Christian Health Services, in coordination with the CHS representative.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Collection
- Work with M&E officers to develop effective data collection tools and train key health personnel in local missions.
- Conduct monitoring visits to assess progress in ADRA-supported local missions.
5. Staff Health & Well-being
- Organize quarterly health checks for ADRA personnel.
- Ensure referred personnel receive necessary medical or wellness support.
- Promote the 10,000 Toes initiative and other health programs to enhance the lifestyle and well-being of ADRA personnel and their dependents.
- Represent ADRA in CPP-related activities and partner engagements.
